Farm Businesses truly are a business and have the same cashflow and asset financing needs that any business would have and I have put this site together with the intention to be give insight to those people that have an interest to know about the Business of Farming.
Currently, our Farm Business has just over 800 acres which we use to grow wheat, beans, corn, tobacco and we have a livestock component as well. At the moment we have cattle and chickens with plans to get into pig farming. In addition to this, we have a roadside market where we sell goods from our garden which the children manage so they learn about the business and customer service.
So as you see, we are firmly placed in the Farming Business and I want to let you know what we do so you will have some assurance that I do know what I am talking about in this blog. I am open to questions you may have about the Business of Farming and if you have any comments about my site, positive or negative, I would really like to hear from you.
Life is a learning experience and many times what is perceived as negative feedback, really is positive as it helps you to improve which is something I always want to do. No matter if it is how to plant crops, care for livestock or manage cash flow, if you have constructive criticism, let me hear it!
